Perinatal & Postpartum Mental Health Services

Pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood are often portrayed as joyful milestones—but for many parents, these experiences also come with profound emotional, physical, and psychological challenges. At our practice, we specialize in helping parents navigate the complex mental health needs that can arise during the perinatal (pregnancy) and postpartum periods. We provide compassionate, evidence-based care for those dealing with anxiety, OCD, trauma, intrusive thoughts, and loss during what can be one of the most vulnerable times in life.

Areas of Focus

We support clients through a wide range of perinatal and postpartum mental health concerns, including:

  • Perinatal and Postpartum Anxiety & Depression
Persistent worry, panic, racing thoughts, irritability, and low mood are common but treatable symptoms that often emerge during pregnancy or after birth.
  • Postpartum OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder)
We offer specialized treatment for OCD during and after pregnancy, including distressing and intrusive thoughts (such as harm or contamination fears), mental compulsions, and reassurance-seeking. Many women suffer in silence due to shame or fear—our approach is nonjudgmental, informed, and grounded in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard for treating OCD.
  • Birth Trauma & Medical Trauma
Even when a baby is healthy, the birth experience can be deeply traumatic—especially when it involves unexpected interventions, loss of control, or fear for your or your baby’s life. We use Prolonged Exposure and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients safely process these events and reduce trauma-related symptoms.
  • Pregnancy Loss, Stillbirth, and Infant Loss
Grief after miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death is often isolating and minimized by others. We provide a space to honor your experience, hold the weight of your loss, and support your healing—no matter when or how it occurred.
  • Perinatal PTSD & Complex Grief
Some experiences leave emotional scars that don’t heal on their own. Whether you’ve endured a traumatic delivery, a NICU stay, or a series of fertility challenges, we’re here to help you process, integrate, and reclaim your story.
  • Identity Shifts & Life Transitions
Motherhood often brings an overwhelming shift in identity, relationships, and expectations. We offer support for navigating role changes, relationship strain, and the emotional toll of caregiving.
